Vivo may not sell its phones in Germany and the reason is Nokia

Vivo may have to suspend sales and marketing in Germany, following Nokia's win of a patent dispute at the Mannheim District Court in Germany. The case centres on a Nokia 4G standard-essential patent (SEP), and, if enforced, could result in Vivo being barred from the German market. Nokia previously won legal fights with Oppo and OnePlus over the 4G standard patents, which led to a ban on selling their products in Germany. Vivo says that Nokia has failed to license the technology at a fair price and exorbitant charges are being made. The company is preparing to appeal the decision.
