Foxconn sets April 2024 as target to start manufacturing iPhones at Bengaluru plant

Foxconn, the biggest supplier of Apple, has been granted land to build an iPhone manufacturing plant in the Indian state of Karnataka. The plant is expected to create 50,000 jobs and have the capacity to make 20 million iPhones per year. The project is valued at $1.59bn and set for completion in three phases.
