Government has a Safari 'warning' for MacBook users

Apple users have been warned by the Indian government’s cybersecurity watchdog, CERT-In, about a security flaw affecting Safari versions. The vulnerability, named CVE-2023-32439, lets remote attackers execute arbitrary codes on targeted systems because of a type of confusion error in the WebKit component. An attacker could exploit this by persuading users to open a specially crafted file or app. iOS 16.5.1 fixed two critical security flaws, one of which had been reportedly used in targeted hacking in Russia. Apple thanked cybersecurity company Kaspersky, which flagged the issue.
