Facebooks ad business receives a huge setback in EU

The European Union's Court of Justice has stated that Facebook must obtain user consent before sending specific personalized ads, according to a new ruling. Facebook will need users' permission to use their Meta-app interactions data, including commenting on Instagram posts, or watching specific videos for direct advertising. Meta added an opt-out form online after a privacy decision in January 2022.
