Explained: Rain Water Touch feature on OnePlus phones and how it works

Chinese smartphone maker OnePlus has introduced a new screen with its upcoming Ace 2 Pro smartphone that handles touch input even when wet. The new technology called the “Rain Water Touch” feature aims to solve the issue when consumers use their smartphones outdoors on a rainy day, where touchscreens don’t function properly when wet. The phone is expected to launch in China on August 16th. OnePlus has not yet announced the release in other markets, however, the technology is rumoured to arrive with the upcoming OnePlus 12 flagship smartphone.
