Here’s why Twitter removed the verified status of these Indian politicians

Political leaders, including chief ministers of various Indian states, had their Golden and Blue ticks removed from Twitter after changing their display pictures to the Indian tricolour as part of the government's 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign. The reason is that the social media platform requires verified accounts to use only authentic names and profile pictures. These accounts can be reviewed to regain their verification status if they conform to the platform's guidelines. Prime Minister Narendra Modi changed his profile picture to feature the tricolour, but his verification tick was not removed. The campaign aims to encourage patriotism and display of the national flag in homes.
