Read the advisory on mobile phones being banned in New Delhi private, government schools

The Delhi Directorate of Education (DoE) has banned the usage of mobile phones in private and government schools in Delhi. It has also requested the teachers and staff to avoid using phones in school premises. It has urged all stakeholders connected with education, namely parents, students, teachers, and school heads, to arrive at a consensus regarding the minimum usage of mobile phones in school. The directive seeks to create a more meaningful learning atmosphere in classrooms, reduce distractions, and prohibit activities such as bullying, harassment, and transmission of explicit images.
