Zomato starts testing Rs 2 platform fee: What is it and other details

Zomato has begun experimenting with a flat platform fee of INR2 ($0.03) per order for select users in an unknown market. It is applied regardless of cart value and will also be levied on customers of its loyalty programme, Zomato Gold. A spokesman for the firm said it was an experiment, and may or may not proceed. Rival Swiggy introduced a similar INR2 per order charge to all customers in April.
