iPhone maker Foxconn to double its workforce in the country, says India head in a birthday message to PM Modi

Foxconn, Apple's largest contract manufacturer, plans to double its workforce and investment in India by next year, according to its India representative V Lee. The company aims to achieve another doubling of employment, FDI, and business size in India. Foxconn already operates nine production campuses and more than 30 factories in the country, generating around $10 billion of revenue annually. It is also evaluating several states for its EV ambitions and intends to expand its diversified strategy, including in Karnataka and Telangana.
