What happens when your Google account's free storage quota is over

Google provides 15GB of free storage shared across Gmail, Google Drive, and Google Photos. Upgrading to a paid Google One subscription increases storage to 100GB or more. If you exceed your storage limit, you won't be able to upload new files, back up photos and videos, or create new files in collaborative apps. After 2 years of exceeding the limit, your content may be removed, but Google will notify you and give you the opportunity to avoid deletion by purchasing more storage or removing files.
