Intel unveils Core Ultra, its first CPUs with integrated NPU for “AI PCs”

Intel unveils Intel Core Ultra CPUs with a dedicated on-chip AI accelerator (NPU) and a tri-cluster CPU design. Built on Intel 4 (7nm node), the CPUs feature integrated Arc GPU with up to eight Xe cores. The Ultra 7 165H, with 16 cores/22 threads, offers 11% better multi-threading performance than Ryzen 7 7840U and consumes 25% less power. Intel's XeSS AI upscaling boosts performance by 39% in 1080p. The CPUs achieve up to 34 TeraOPS performance and have partnerships with 100+ software vendors. Over 230 AI PCs from major OEMs are available for purchase.
