Google Chat users will soon be able to star messages on Android, iPhone

Google has announced that the 'starred messages' feature, which allows users to mark important messages, will be available on the mobile app versions of Google Chat. The rollout has already begun for both iPhone and Android apps, with the feature becoming visible to users within 15 days. This feature will be accessible to all Google Workspace customers and users with personal Google Accounts. To star a message, users can long press on it and select the star option, and they can also unstar messages. However, the feature is not available in existing spaces organised by conversation topic.
