Google starts making Chrome more secure: What it means and why it is important for users

Google has introduced a Tracking Protection feature on Chrome to enhance browsing safety and security. About 1% of Chrome users will receive a notification to try this feature. It restricts access to third-party cookies, known as trackers that monitor users' browsing activity across websites. These cookies enable advertisers to display relevant ads. Google plans to phase out third-party cookies for all users by the second half of 2024. This move is part of Google's efforts to prioritize user privacy while still providing relevant ads.
