Google rolls out viewer mode in Meet

Google has announced its plans to roll out a new viewer mode feature in its video conferencing platform, Google Meet. The feature will set everyone as a viewer by default during meetings. The company aims to assist Google Meet users in organising large meetings and "helps reduce potential meeting distractions, such as audio disruptions." Google Workspace Enterprise Plus customers can now extend the maximum number of meeting attendees to 1,000 which is an increase from 500.
