Facebook parent Meta announces AI partnership with Microsoft: What it means and why its important

Meta announced that it is partnering with Microsoft to introduce LLaMA 2, its natural language processing AI model, to the commercial market. The platform will be available on Microsoft’s cloud platform Azure, as well as Amazon Web Services and AI start-up, Hugging Face. LLaMA 2 is available for commercial use through a licensing agreement with Meta’s cloud partners and can also be downloaded directly. Microsoft will add LLaMA 2 to its AI catalog to work in conjunction with content filtering and other Azure tools.
